Stolen Van Gogh painting remains missing after suspect arrested

The Seventeenth-century Frans Hals’ piece, titled Two Laughing Boys, was kidnapped in August from the Hofje van Mevrouw van Aerden Museum in Leerdam, simply 5 months after Van Gogh’s The Parsonage Backyard at Nuenen in Spring was taken.

Regardless of the arrest of the suspect, police report that neither work have resurfaced. Each have been added to Interpol’s worldwide checklist of stolen artworks.
